Mzuri Pro-Til strip-till technology provides an optimal environment for plant growth and yield. Mzuri Pro-Til technology involves only cultivating narrow strips of soil in which fertiliser and seeds are sown. The crop residues remain on the uncultivated interrows (Fig. 1). This allows water to be retained and organic matter to be protected in order to improve soil’s structure, fertility and productivity. This is only possible with specially designed tillage tines and unique hoe coulters. These coulters operate exclusively in cultivated strips of soil where plant seeds are placed.
